The Ibn Khaldun School of Professional Studies and Skills Development (IKSPSSD) at KITAAS is a dynamic academic and skill center within the Department of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities. It is dedicated to the professional development, advancement, and lifelong learning of teachers and professionals across various fields.
IKSPSSD’s core mission is to empower educators, from primary to university levels, with the knowledge, skills, and digital competencies needed to excel in an ever-evolving educational and technological environment. Through cutting-edge training programs, workshops, and certification courses, the School bridges theory and practice to cultivate innovative, adaptable, and globally competitive educators.
While teachers’ professional development remains its primary focus, IKSPSSD also offers vocational and skills development programs open to all learners seeking to enhance their professional competencies. The School’s programs are aligned with the national initiatives such as NAVTAC and PSDA, reflecting its commitment to fostering industry-relevant, skill-based education.
IKSPSSD actively collaborates with leading institutions, including NAVTAC, PSDA, ICMA Digital London, and the JFK Institute of Technology and Management. A landmark partnership with the UCL Institute of Education (UCL IOE), one of the world’s foremost centers for teacher education, is nearing completion. This collaboration will introduce internationally recognized certifications for both in-service and aspiring teachers in public and private sectors.
