The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a 5‑year, 10‑semester professional degree program (equivalent to 17 years of education) affiliated with Government College University Faisalabad. It prepares graduates to diagnose and treat movement disorders using manual therapy, exercise, electrotherapy, and prevention. DPT holders become primary practitioners for assessing, intervening in, and preventing impairments, activity limitations, and environmental barriers related to movement and health. The curriculum covers foundational sciences (anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, pharmacology, etc.) and behavioral sciences (evidence‑based practice, clinical reasoning), plus clinical courses such as medical screening, diagnostic tests, therapeutic interventions, outcome assessment, and practice management. The degree meets international standards, allowing easy equivalency abroad.
Our goal is to deliver a Rehabilitation Sciences program that cultivates in graduates a lifelong dedication to continuing education, strengthened critical‑thinking and communication abilities, a keen awareness of ethical and professional duties toward patients and the community, the capacity to meet both technical and humanistic challenges in medicine, and the skill to advance medical knowledge.
